all you got to do is see
my hijab makes me free
you just don't see
this is reality

no man oppresses me
i'm free to be
i respect myself
this is reality.

no strange man can see my beauty
propaganda makes muslim women seem like dummies
we want to be seen for what is in our minds
this is reality.

hijab is nothing new
we cover ourselves like nuns do
but are labelled as outcosts.
why is this reality????????

we refuse to be victims of the male
pleasing fashion industry
i don't judge others then why do they judge me?
why is this reality???????

for those people who stare just become aware
i don't mind i will give you a smile in return
i am free
this is reality....
